Tale of the Tape: Walton vs. Shaq

If you’re keeping up with pertinent NBA topics, you are well aware that Bill Walton called out Shaq recently for dogging it during the season with the Heat, then going to Phoenix and claiming that he would “bring them a ring.” Walton claims that this is terrrrrible. Shaq fired back saying that Walton has no basis to judge him, because as far as big men go, Walton doesn’t even belong in the same class as the Diesel. Here’s the breakdown, you be the judge:

Tale of the Tape: Bill Walton vs. Shaquille O’Neal

SO: 25.6 points per game, 11.5 rebounds/game, 2.7 blocks/game

It’s clear that statistically, the Big Aristotle has the upper hand. But his overall career resume (acting included) is not that much better than Walton’s. They are both big men that changed the game and how offenses utilize centers. As for Bill calling Shaq out, I do believe that the Diesel has the upper hand in smack talking, so Walton would be wise to keep quiet.
